The Bangkok concert’s organiser, Bec-Tero Entertainment, has not commented but a news update on the issue is expected to be announced on the company’s Facebook page.
Grande’s “Dangerous Woman Tour” concert is scheduled for Impact Arena on August 17 and tickets with a starting price of Bt2,500 are slated to go on sale this Saturday.
Nineteen people were killed and 50 injured in the Manchester explosion that is being treated as a terrorist incident. Grande was unharmed.
Grande, 23, was in town performing the first of three scheduled concerts in the UK. Her next dates include shows in Belgium, Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
The Grammy-nominated artist, who started her career in the Broadway musical “13”, burst onto the international music scene in 2013 with her smash-hit debut album “Yours Truly”, which quickly reached the No 1 spot on the Billboard chart and spawned the popular single “The Way” featuring Mac Miller.
Less than a year later, she released her second chart-topping album “My Everything”, which won her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and gave the world the six times-platinum hit “Problem”, making her the youngest woman to debut with over 400,000 tracks sold in its first week.
In 2013, she was named Best New Artist at the American Music Awards as well as Favourite Breakout Artist at the People’s Choice Awards 2014.
Last year she released her third album, “Dangerous Woman”.
