Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday led fellow Cabinet members to observe the construction progress of the guesthouse joined to the Thai Khu Fah building at Government House.

Almost complete, the construction is being overseen by the Fine Arts Department and the Post Engineer Department. Its architectural style is compatible with the Command buildings, which are also under construction.

Prayut plans to decorate the guesthouse with embroidered fabric from the Foundation of the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, which will be obtained via donations.

The guesthouse will hold up to 150 people and is painted yellow, representing the birthdays of King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and blue, representing the birthday of Queen Sirikit.
