Abandoned bag causes bomb scare in Bangkok
An abandoned clothes bag near a bank caused a false bomb scare in Bangkok’s Ratburana district on Monday morning, police said.
Police bomb disposal officers rushed to the scene when police were alerted that a suspicious bag was spotted outside the Kasikorn Bank branch at the front of Soi Suksawad 38 in Bang Pakok subdistrict.
Police cordoned off the area and closed the two lanes on the Suksawad Road while bomb disposal officers checked the bag. It turned out that the bag contained woman’s clothes.
Police have yet to locate the owner of the bag.
