Only 18 turn up for Buddhist candle procession at Bacho temple

Unlike other parts of the country, where the rite was held at night, the candle procession was held at the Urai Ratanaram temple in Moo 5 of Tambon Bacho in Bacho district at 12.20pm.
Troops sent vehicles to two Buddhist communities near the temple to take people to the rite, but only 18 came. The Buddhists were apparently terrified because firecrackers had gone off in a forest near the communities late in the morning.
