A homeless man was found dead at the Si Sa Ket railway station on Thursday morning.

The man was identified as Wandee Arjwongsa, 48, a tricycle taxi driver.

His body was found by a vendor who was walking past the area.

Wandee’s friend, Kham Thongluan, 73, told police that he and Wandee used the station as a shelter, adding that they were woken up by station officials at 5am to move to sleep at the eastern wing of the station earlier in the morning.

A doctor on duty at Si Sa Ket Hospital said the man had died about an hour before he was found. There was no trace of a physical attack and his body was sent for an autopsy to Si Sa Ket Hospital.
