Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Pol Maj-General Jiraphat Phumichit said on Wednesday that police had managed to trace the two young men, who were taken to the expressway police station to face fines for not wearing helmets and violating the ban on motorcycles on expressways.
Jiraphat quoted the two as saying they had accidentally entered the expressway while they were riding on a frontage road on Soi Sukhumvit 62.
Jiraphat said police had been assigned to work with expressway officials to locate areas that motorcyclists might use to sneak onto the expressway.
