Food & Hotel Thailand event expects 30,000 visitors

Food & Hotel Thailand (FHT) – taking place from September 6-9 at Bitec in Bang Na – will celebrate 25 years of presenting the best solutions for food and hospitality businesses across the region.

Organisers say it will be bigger, better and fresher than ever, with new exhibitors, products, events and competitions.

This year’s theme is “Refreshing Premium Business”.

More than 370 exhibitors from 30 countries will be there, and Belgium, China, Germany, Japan, South Africa, Taiwan and the United States will have their own pavilions.

Around 30,000 trade professionals are expected to visit.

Thailand is this year forecast to generate more than Bt2.7 trillion in tourism revenue, representing growth above 10 per cent compared to last year.

FHT is growing at the same rate in terms of new ideas, products and competitions to promote industry development. 

New this year are the Belgian, German and South African pavilions, 22 products being launched for the first time anywhere and 38 being unveiled in Thailand for the first time, and Best Chef Competition as part of the Thailand International Culinary Cup.

There will be a new International Wine Challenge judging panel, a Thai Wine Master Class, a Five-course Western Table Set-up Competition, a Beer Pavilion and Craft Beer Workshops and Thailand’s own World Champion Latte Artist.

Among the top exhibitors are Athena, Boonrawd, Cafes Richard, Cambro, Catunambu, Carpigiani Group, Conti, Convotherm, CP Meiji, Dapper, Darling, Fujimak, Guy Degrenne, Hafele, Hobart, i-cream solutions, Image Laundry Systems, Italasia Electro, Jaspal Home, Kannegiesser, KCG, Kenwood, Kitchen Aid, LA Cimbali, Lamb Weston, Lucky Flame, Manitowoc, Maruzen, NEC Corporation, Nemox, Panomrung, Peerapat, Rational, Royal Porcelain, Silikal, Simmons Bedding, Seven-Five, Springmate, Stölzle Glasgruppe, Surapon Foods, Thai Nippon Foods, US Meat Export Federation and Winterhalter, Zojirushi.

FHT’s component events include the Thai Hotels Association’s Hospitality Industry Congress, Thailand Chefs Association’s International Culinary Cup, a Thai Restaurant Association seminar, the Thailand National Latte Art Championship, an FBAT International Wine Challenge, the Thai Wines Competition, an Executive Housekeeper Association workshop and seminar, a Hotels & Building Chief Engineering’s Club seminar and Dusit Thani College seminars.
