THAI blames outsourced worker for looting

Thai Airways International on Saturday blamed an outsourced airport worker for the alleged looting of a passenger’s bag.

THAI issued a statement in response to an online post from a passenger who said some valuables were stolen from a bag that had onboard Flight TG641 from Narita International Airport to Suvarnabhumi and then went on to a transit flight to Phuket on August 15.
The statement said the airline conducted an investigation promptly after it received full information from the passenger.
It said it checked CCTV footage at Suvarnabhumi and Phuket airports, and had spotted a worker behaving suspiciously.
The airline said it would ask the outsourcing company and police to immediately investigate the claims and interrogate the worker in question. It said it would inform the passenger of the outcome.
