Acting auditor-general appointed to replace Phisit
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Monday issued an order under Article 44 of the interim charter to appoint deputy auditor-general Pornchai Chamroonphanitkul as acting-auditor general.
Prayut said in the order that the appointment was necessary because the current-auditor general, Phisit Leelawachirophas, completed his term on Monday.
The order said Pornchai would be in the post until the next auditor-general is appointed or until the chief of the National Council for Peace and Order issued another order regarding the position.
