A Myanmar drug suspect jumped into the Moei River as Thai police arrested his two accomplices in the border province of Tak on Sunday.

Found in his accomplices’ possession were 7,000 methamphetamine tablets.

Both detained suspects were brought to the Mae Sot Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Anti-narcotics officials collaborated with local officials in the arrest after receiving a tip-off that Myanmar drug peddlers were working in areas frequented by Thai gamblers across the border.
