Vietjet receives “Pioneering Airline Award” for promoting Vietnam tourism

Vietjet Air was honoured as "The pioneer airline" at the annual festival of national tourism 2017 under The Guide Awards, held by The Guide magazine of the Vietnam Economic Times, for the airline’s contributions to the development of the Vietnamese tourism industry.

The Guide Awards 2017, under the theme of “Green tourism for a green economy”, took place on Phu Quoc Island, with tourism issues addressed in the context of environmental standards and sustainable development.
Vietjet was recognised as environmentally conscious based on programmes developed to protect the environment. The company has cooperated with Airbus and Boeing to operate a modern and fuel-saving fleet with reduced noise and carbon emissions.
Vietjet also has been recognised for its fleet of “latest generation” aircraft, e-commerce technologies, opening new routes and broadcasting the song “Hello Vietnam” by Pham Quynh Anh on all flights.
The Guide Awards was initiated by The Economist Vietnam in 1999 to honour organisations and enterprises that have contributed to the development of Vietnam's tourism industry.
The results of the award are based on the readers' votes and evaluations, performance surveys by the award's organisers, and other information from the media.
