National Legislative Assembly vice president Surachai Liangboonlertchai Wednesday joined volunteers to cook foods for mourners at a mobile kitchen under the Rama VIII Bridge.

The kitchen was managed by Wat Jedi Hoi under the royal permission of His Majesty the King, so it has been dubbed “the royally-granted kitchen”. It has been providing food to mourners since Monday and will remain in operation until Friday,

About 200 volunteers helped to cook for mourners on Wednesday.

Surachai said the NLA would like to thank all volunteers who came out to help take care of the mourners so that the Royal Cremation ceremonies could be completed with the highest honour for HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
