Lampang Muang vendors give food to passing mourners

Food vendors from a fresh market in Lampang's Muang district handed out free meals to mourners as they made their the way to place funeral flowers at Lampang Rajabhat University for the late King’s Royal Cremation Day on Thursday.

The vendors at Mek Market together cooked and handed out fried pork and fried meatballs along with sticky rice, fruit and drinking water to passers-by at the shop front along the Lampang-Mae Tha Road.

Kham Sripaengwong, 60, who owned a noodle shop in Sri Muad Klao Housing Estate in Tambon Chomphu, also opened his doors and gave away 500 bowls of noodle soup as a charitable act to add to the late monarch's merit.
