Rock star Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai began the fourth day of his epic 2,191-kilometre run for charity amid heavy rains.

He and his team began the fourth-day run at 5.15am in front of the boys’ orphanage in the Muang district of Yala province.

His charity run has so far raised Bt68.811 million in donations as of 6.46am.

He is scheduled to reach Pattani’s Khok Pho district by the end of the day. He is scheduled to rest on the fifth day.

Despite heavy rains, his supporters lined up the road where he ran past downtown Yala on Saturday morning.

Toon plans to raise Bt700 million for 11 public hospitals from his run under the banner the “Kao Kon La Kao”, or “Take One Step Each” from his starting point in Yala’s Betong district on Wednesday morning. His final destination is Mae Sai district in Chiang Rai province.
