Her uncle, Kowit Intrikanon, found the body of Watcharin Jensrakhu in her house in Moo 1 village in Tambon Srakhu in Roi Et’s Suvarnabhum district when he visited her to provide her dinner.
Police went to the house and found a note asking that someone make merit for her son, who was killed in a road accident two years ago. Doctors believed the woman died about six hours before her body was found.
Kowit said the woman had been using the wheelchair for three months after joint pains prevented her from walking.
He said his niece became depressed after her son died two years ago and her husband later left her.
Kowit said Watcharin became sadder when her mother died of old age two weeks ago. On Friday, her only brother died.
Kowit said he visited Watcharin everyday to give her food but she stopped eating three days ago, adding that she would drink only Ovaltine hot chocolate.
