Chickens killed as pickup rolls over in Lampang
Several chickens died when a pickup truck carrying them overturned in Lampang province on Sunday morning.
The pickup carrying cages of chicken tilted on a road behind the Triamudomsuksa Pattanakarn Kelangnakorn School.
Pickup driver Wanida Chailert, 38, sustained minor injuries. She said she picked up the chicken from a farm in Lampang and was on her way to deliver them to Lamphun province.
“But a shaft on a rear wheel fell off suddenly while I was on the road. So, the vehicle lost control and tilted,” she said.
Wanida said the chickens clucked loudly when the accident occurred, and rescue workers confirmed that many of them had died.
