Police said the three robbers had donned black clothes and full-sized crash helmets to conceal their identity and also wore gloves.
They went to the front of the shop and one of them fired a shot to intimidate staff while another gang member swept all the gold ornaments into a black plastic bag.
The whole operation lasted only about a minute and the three fled on two motorcycles.
Witnesses told police that they saw the three driving their motorcycles towards the Chon Raj Amrung School intersection.

Police said the two motorcycles apparently used fake licence plates.
"Tamnak Thong 5" gold shop manager Wisut Kham-ngern, 56, estimated the value of the stolen ornaments at Bt12 million. He offered a reward of Bt300,000 to anyone who could provide information to police that could lead to the arrest of the three robbers.
