Chalermwut Saengsai, 53, was arrested at the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge in Muang Nong Khai at 8am. 
He claimed he didn&rsquo;t know there were drugs hidden in the bag, which he said a woman in Bangkok he knew only as &ldquo;Noi&rdquo; had paid him to take there from a Vientiane hotel.

Thai man charged with trying to bring heroin in from Laos

A Pathum Thani man was arrested crossing the Lao border at Nong Khai on Friday morning after 1.9 kilograms of heroin was allegedly found in his travelling bag.
