Tourist robberies lead to arrest of 3 Cambodians in Hua Hin

Hua Hin police have arrested two Cambodian ladyboys and their Cambodian accomplice for allegedly having snatched gold necklaces from foreign tourists in the popular seaside town in Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Hua Hin police chief Pol Colonel Sitthichai Srisophacharoenrat held a press conference on Saturday to announce the arrest of Kongluan, 25, Ngaporn, 26, and another Cambodian man, Touchwon, 24.
Police seized several gold necklaces from them.
Sitthichai said the Hua Hin police station had received complaints from several western tourists that two Cambodian ladyboys approached and spoke with them before snatching their gold necklaces and fleeing.
Sitthichai said police learned that the two ladyboys let Touchwon, who is a sex worker in Hua Hin, keep the necklaces for them and later sold the necklaces and shared the money.
He said they admitted to preying on western tourists in Pattaya before they fled to Hua Hin.
