Phuket Gazette online reported that the accident had occurred at about 4.30pm, and involved vessels named &ldquo;Pimracha&rdquo; and &ldquo;Sattakamol&rdquo;.&nbsp; 
It took place at the entrance to the canal leading to the Royal Phuket Marina. 
Two of the tourists were taken to Vachira and Phuket International (Siriroj) Hospitals with serious injuries.

Italians among injured in speedboat collision off Phuket

Two speedboats collided on Tuesday off Phuket at the entrance to the Royal Phuket Marina, injuring five Italian tourists and a Thai man.
