University students hurt in car crash

Four students were injured when their car crashed into a roadside shop near their university in Phitsanulok early on Monday.

The accident happened at 5.15am in front of of Rajabhat Pibul Songkhram University in Tambon Ban Klong, Mueang district, said Pol Capt Pratin Chaiyong, deputy inspector of Mueang Phitsanulok police.
The car crashed into a fruit shop belonging to Pranom Kongchua, 45, who was asleep at the time.
The driver, Phassorn Huantha, 21, was trapped inside with a broken leg and had to be cut free.
Her three friends, who were also injured, were named as Nattawat Saleewong, 20, Titipong Prueksawong 21, and Nongnaphat Thepkrai, 20.
Phassorn said she lost control of the car after trying to avoid hitting a dog that suddenly crossed the road.
