Police were on Tuesday night inspecting the scene in Moo 8 village, Phra Saeng district, where the bound body of Apichart Nooduang, 33, was pulled from the pond.
As they did so, said Pol Lt Col Somchai Raksrithong, Apichart’s elder brother came forward and admitted to killing him.
The brother, whose name has been withheld pending further interrogation, told police he’d bound the younger man’s arms with a T-shirt and his legs with nylon rope, loaded him onto a pushcart and rolled him into the water.
The cart was also found in the pond.
The elder brother said Apichart was often crazed due to drug abuse, causing trouble for the family.
