Woman arrested after drugs, weapons, animal carcasses found in Phuket

Phuket police and a team of local authorities have arrested 27-year-old Anchalee Pantumat, from Nakhon Sawan province, in connection with the possession of illegal items including 113 grams of marijuana, a carbine (rifle) with eleven .30 bullets, along with jungle-cat fur and a sambar deer’s skull.

She has been accused of possessing drugs, an illegal weapon and preserved animal carcasses.
At her house in Rawai, police also found marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia, two BB guns, digital scales, plastic bags for packaging and Bt103,500 in cash.
Earlier, police had discovered that a man named “San” was a local dealer selling drugs to customers and colleagues. He works on a speedboat in Rawai.
On Monday, police went to investigate near his house at 9.20am and arrested a suspect who confessed that the house belonged to San and was the place where he used to sell drugs.
San and another friend had already left the house at that stage, heading to Rawai Beach, where the speedboats are parked.
Police tried to chase him but he managed to get on a boat and flee.
Officers then searched his house, where they found the illegal items and also Anchalee, who has now been accused of possessing drugs, an illegal weapon and preserved animal carcasses.
She confessed to all the charges.
Meanwhile, San remains at large.
