A Myanmar man was found dead, stuck between huge bags containing recyclable plastic inside a warehouse in Samut Sakhon’s Krathumban district, police said.

The body of, Waje, 20, was found in the warehouse in Moo 7 village in Tambon Klong Madua on Tuesday evening.

His head was pointing down, indicating that Waje fell head-first from a big bag into the tiny space between two other bags.

A forklift had to remove the bag to retrieve the body. A doctor inspecting the scene said the man had died about two days earlier.

His brother told police that Waje had visited him at the warehouse two days earlier and drank with him. During the night, his brother asked for a blanket, saying he would find a spot to sleep in the warehouse.

The brother said he did not see Waje in the morning and thought his brother had left.

But he smelt a stench on Tuesday evening and traced it to find the body.

Police suspect that the man was drunk and fell from the bag while trying to sleep on top of it.
