Myanmar motorcyclist killed in Nonthaburi hit and run

A Myanmar man died in Nonthaburi on Sunday evening after being knocked off his motorcycle by one vehicle and then run over by a second.

The man identified only as Paisu, 20, was killed on Pathum Thani-Bang Bua Thong Road in Tambon Lampho just before 9pm.

Police found car driver Warut Sikhao waiting to explain that he hadn’t see the man lying in the road and ran over him, dragging him about 50 metres.

Witness Nawin Thammasarn, 29, was eating at a roadside restaurant when he heard a loud crash and saw the motorcycle and the man lying on the road.

Nawin confirmed that Warut had no time to take evasive action.

The body was to undergo an autopsy at Thammasat Hospital and police were checking security camera recordings to try and identify the first vehicle.
