A couple in Ratchaburi have donated a tonne of their pineapples to a wildlife rehabilitation centre in the province following a fall in prices.

Sornkhiri Buajaeng and Sunaree Meemak used their pickup truck to transport their pineapples to the Pa Khao Son Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Tambon Pak Chong in Ratchaburi's Jom Bueng district on Friday.

The couple said the output of pineapples became excessive and the prices dropped and they could not sell the fruit so they decided to give it to the wild animals at the centre instead of letting it rot.
