A village in Ranong's La-oon district on Wednesday morning was flooded with up to 2 metres of monsoon runoff for about 13 hours.

The Ranong provincial administration said Ban Khok Chang village in Tambon Nai Wong Nua also suffered from a landslide that blocked the main road.

Suparp Khumtakua, the tambon mayor, said the municipality dispatched pumps to drain the village.

He said the municipality would have to wait until the rain stopped before heavy equipment could clear the road.
