Traffic right turns banned for three years at Si Nut Intersection

Right turns from all traffic directions at the Si Nut Intersection on Sri Nakarin-On Nut roads have been banned for three years because of construction.

Pol Col Thawatchai Wongsa-nga, deputy commander of Metropolitan Police Division 4, said the measure is aimed at lessening traffic congestion at the intersection.
Traffic at the intersection has worsened since the middle section of the road was cordoned off for the construction of an elevated railway system.
Thawatchai said vehicles on the outbound On Nut Road are prohibited from making right turns at the intersection to the outbound Sri Nakarin Road. They must make a left turn and make a U-turn under the bridge across the Prawet Canal.
He said vehicles inbound on On Nut Road cannot make right turns to the inbound Sri Nakarin Road. They must make a left turn and make a U-turn in front of Soi Sri Nakarin 31.
