Heavy rain causes landslides in Mae Hong Son
Torrential rain overnight downed trees and caused landslides, blocking a main road in Mae Hong Son’s Sop Moei district Monday morning.
The 36th Ranger Taskforce dispatched a team of rangers to inspect the main road in Sop Moei and encountered three spots where passage was blocked by soil and fallen trees.
A landslide occurred near Ban Kor Muder village in Tambon Mae Sam Laeb. The tambon administration has been alerted to clear the road.
The team also identified two other areas in Ban Siwader village where landslides had occurred and local authorities have been alerted accordingly.
