His Majesty grants 20 tonnes of hay for flooded-affected cattle

His Majesty the King has granted 20 tonnes of hay to cattle farmers in flooded provinces, the Livestock Development Department chief said on Thursday.

Sorawit Thanito, director general of the department, said 1,000 bales of hay would be kept at four silos in three provinces to help farmers save their cattle.

Sorawit and Agriculture Minister Krissada Boonrat presided over a ceremony at the department head office in Pathum Thani to send the royally granted hay to the four provinces.

He said 100 bales would be sent to a silo in Wiset Chaicharn district and 100 bales to Sawaeng Ha district in Ang Thong.

He said 600 bales of hay will be sent to Sena district in Ayutthaya and 200 others to Sappaya district in Chai Nat.
