His Majesty the King has appointed Pol Lt-General Thitiraj Nongharnpithak to the role of Royal Services officer at the rank of Army lieutenant-general, attached to Ratchawallop Royal Security Command effective September 28.

The appointment, transferring Thitiraj from his current role as commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, was announced in the Royal Gazette on Tuesday.

HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s order invoked Article 15 of the Constitution, the Royal Services Act, Royal Thai Police Services Act, the Defence Ministry Services Act and the Military Ranks Act.

In the same order, the King also transferred Colonel Thanapat Nakchaiya, deputy commander of the Special Warfare Command. Thanapat will serve as a Royal Services officer in the post of director of the academic training division of the Training Department of Ratchawallop Royal Security Command.
