Domestic airline services are expected to resume at Kansai Airport on Friday after the major transport and cargo hub in the Kansai region was closed due to powerful Typhoon No. 21, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday morning.
International services “will resume as soon as preparations are made,” Abe also said at the meeting of the government’s disaster response headquarters.
