Some 50 troops, officials and villagers on Monday joined hands to search for a villager who disappeared on a mountain in Phitsanulok’s Wang Thong district on October 28.

Anan Nak-in, 58, has not been seen since he went up Lam Kradone mountain, near Ban Lam Kradone village in Tambon Wang Nok An, reportedly to catch a wild boar for its meat.

His friends, who had been searching the forest on the mountainside in vain since his disappearance, decided to seek help from Wang Thong police station on Monday morning. The police in turn asked for help from the Army’s Sarit Sena camp.

The officials were dispatched in two teams to search Lam Kradone mountain, starting at 10am.
