Police arrested a couple in Nonthaburi's Muang district late Sunday night and seized 200,000 methamphetamine pills and six kilogrammes of crystal meth.

Jiranan Thannithi, 27, and Wichuda Mora, 23, were arrested at their house in Tambon Bang Sri Muang at 10.30 pm.

Police were acting on a tip off that the couple were selling drugs.

The couple claimed that the drugs did not belong to them, saying that the owner hired them to keep and deliver the drugs by leaving each shipment at different places in Nonthaburi and Bangkok. They said the drug boss then wired them Bt80,000 to Bt100,000 for each shipment.
