Parasailing French tourist in Phuket hospital
A French tourist is in hospital after having a bad landing on the tow boat and ending up in the water while parasailing at Koh Naka Yai off Phuket’s Paklok coast on Wednesday.
Thalang police reported that the 57-year-old French woman, Claudine Robinet, broke her left leg and hip with wounds on her knee and was taken to Thalang Hospital before being transferred to the Bangkok Hospital in Phuket.
Somchai Kongkam, 57, a tour guide, told police that they arrived at Koh Naka Yai yesterday afternoon.
Robinet said she wanted to go parasailing but reportedly hit the roof of the boat and then fell into the water.
