Police said Lamom Srisuwan, 53, who had an oil palm plantation in Ban Klong Haeng village in Tambon Khao Phanom of Khao Phanom district died on her way to the district hospital.
Lamom's husband, Pracha Srisuwan, 52, told police that his wife was shot at by two gunmen hiding on the plantation next to their house. Lamom was walking between the house and the plantation when she was shot in her cheek and chest.
