Fire hits Phitsanulok hotel

Fire hits Phitsanulok hotel

Fire broke out at an old hotel in Phitsanulok's Muang district on Sunday night but no one was injured, police said.

Ten fire engines took about 20 minutes to put out the blaze on the second floor of the Ratchawong Hotel on the Mittraparp road in Tambon Nai Muang.
Police said the fire broke out inside Room No 17 on the second floor and damaged the mattress and the ceiling.
The blaze prompt the hotel’s guests to run outside in panic.
The hotel is well-known and has been in service for decades.
There was no guest in the room when the fire broke out. The room’s power breaker has been repaired and police suspect a short circuit might have been responsible for the fire. Investigations into the cause continue.
