A female tourist was rushed to hospital on Monday after being bitten by a snake at the Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi.

The 23-year-old German was taken to Krabi Hospital after she was been bitten on her right foot.

She was conscious whilst being treated at the scene and during her trip to hospital.

A friend of the German said that while they were walking inside the temple, her friend had stepped on a pile of leaves.

She then screamed out as the snake bit her on the foot.
