Baby flying lemur and slow loris rescued in Phuket

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation reports that the head of Khao Phra Thaeo Conservation Area, Pongchart Chueahom, has checked in to see the progress of a baby flying lemur and an injured slow loris which are being treated by the department.

“They are both healthy and the loris is recovering well.

They will be released into the Khao Phra Thaeo reserve in Thalang when they are able to fend for themselves,” Pongchart said. 
The lemur needed month to grow and learn without its mother, he said.

Pongchart reported that the lemur was found two weeks ago in Kamala after being left by its mother. 
The loris was found near Layan Beach last week by staff of a hotel.
