A Cambodian man and a teenage boy were arrested on Thursday for allegedly felling a protected tree inside a national park in Ubon Ratchathani’s Nam Yuen district.

The two suspects were identified as Chook Mok, 25, and a 14-year-old boy. They are residents of Preah Vihear province in Cambodia.

A Phu Jong Na Yoi National Park patrol unit arrested the pair when they spotted them carrying two Makha Mong tree logs.
