GMM to meet NBTC

GMM Grammy plans to hold talks with the broadcasting and telecom watchdog to seek the best way out after the watchdog's resolution on Wednesday not to renew contracts with firms that jointly develop radio programming on its nine radio broadcasting spectr

The board of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) passed the resolution, which will take effect in January, in a move to take back its own radio spectra for reallocation.
Its own radio station jointly develops radio programmes on the nine spectra with private firms. One of these nine spectra is FM106.5, used by GMM Grammy’s subsidiary A-Time Media for the GreenWave radio channel.
GMM Grammy co-chief executive Saithip Montrikul na Ayudhaya said: “If we get an official notice from the NBTC, we are going to discuss with it how to find the best solution immediately.”
