Anti-corruption network seeks public support

The Collective Action Against Corruption (CAAC) is mobilising public supports to help monitor the government's post-flood spending which is estimated to reach Bt800 billion.

‎Pramon Sutivong, chairman of anti-corruption network, said today that the network wants to invite more people to join anti-corruption campaign "Clean Thailand DIY" for 2012.
Huge budgets are anticipated to rebuild Thailand from the worst floods in decades.
The budgets will cover the reconstruction of infrastructure like roads and railroads.  Pramon said that the network will a organise watchdog  training  programme for volunteers in order to mobilise more public support against corruption.
He also promised to  closely follow reports on the distribution of relief bags by the government and the scandal involving former permanent secretary for transport.
"Reports of these allegations suggested the corruption issue gets worse," he told press conference at theStock Exchange of Thailand.
