On April 19, Modernine TV will revamp its news programming and re-brand its two satellite TV stations. This had to be postponed from April 9 because a royal cremation will be held on that day.
MCOT 1, under its new name MCOT Insight, will be transformed into a live public broadcasting service similar to the model of Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN) in the United States.
Asean TV, which also screens reruns via satellite TV, will be repositioned as MCOT Global to act as Thailand’s window to the world, providing information, culture, music and entertainment shows.
