Laguna Phuket to play host to delegates from Amway China
Laguna Phuket will host the holiday island's largest-ever corporate gathering when it welcomes more than 15,000 representatives of Amway China for the direct-sales company's annual month-long leadership seminar during April and May.
Amway China delegates will arrive and depart in waves throughout the four weeks to experience a rolling programme of dinners, business sessions, and sightseeing based at the destination resort of seven deluxe hotel and villa properties on Phuket’s northwest coast.
More than 600 delegates will arrive daily from April 15 until May 15 and depart four days later – once the programme is underway there will be about 1,800 Amway China delegates and staff each day at Laguna Phuket.
COMBINATION OF RESOURCES
Management of the resort complex says it was selected to host this major event for its ability to combine the resources of its diverse hotel properties, its integrated resort facilities and proximity to Phuket International Airport.
The resort’s flagship Banyan Tree Phuket will accommodate Amway China VIPs and officials, while delegate accommodation will be spread among Angsana Laguna Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and Laguna Beach Resort.
Special preparations include |tapping the culinary resources of Banyan Tree properties in mainland China to ensure that Amway China delegates’ dining demands are |satisfied.
During the event there will be 21 grand buffet dinners, each hosting about 750 delegates at the central Laguna Grove venue, overlooking one of the resort’s tropical lagoons, where entertainment will be staged on a floating platform.
