Safety information for the blind

Thai Airways International is seeking advice from the blind, to support its development of safety onboard information.

Kittipong Sutthi, director of Thai National Institute for the Blind, was recently invited by the Aircraft Safety and Cabin System Engineering Department to offer suggestions and imperative requirements. The information will be available in Thai and English.
“Because of the airline’s concern for THAI passengers with visual disabilities, we are pleased to be offering a way to inform passengers about safety during flight. Providing onboard safety pamphlets in the Braille format will be beneficial for the understanding of safety precautions,” said Chiratthitikorn Maleekaew, department manager.
