Show No Limit launches facebook game for Thai kids

Show No Limit has launched a Thai-made online action game called "Chon Duang" (Beetle Beam) for young Facebook users.

Managing director Pongsuk Hiranpruek said the game is designed for Thai Facebook users aged between 10 and 13, a segment which comprises about 700,000 of the 14 million users of the social-media giant in Thailand.

The company spent Bt1 million and three months developing the game, which was officially kicked off yesterday.

The action game allows players to fight either with Facebook friends or with a non-player character, that is, with the program.

The game is provided for free, but players can purchase the game’s items.

Show No Limit has partnered with Money Online and PaySbuy to offer players easy payment by prepaid card for purchasing game items online.

Money Online CEO officer Preecha Praipattaraku said users could buy a 12-all prepaid card |at 7-Eleven and then put the money into their existing accounts at Money Online, PaySbuy and Zest.

Pongsuk said Show No Limit aimed to have 200,000 players by year-end, but only 10 per cent are expected to buy game items.

"Children can play the game and learn Thai culture, since characters and scenes represent Thai traditional culture as well," he said.

The game is paving the way for a large-scale online game called "Record", which the company will launch at a later date, he added.

"Chon Duang is the first game developed and marketed under Show No Limit with our own investment," said the MD.
