Deputy Government Spokesman Anusorn Eiamsa-ard said today that on order from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Deputy Finance Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong will lead the meeting which will take place at 10am at the Government House.
During the Cabinet meeting today, Kittiratt informed all ministers that Cyprus has been the fifth country in the euro zone which seeks bailout, following Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain. Moreover, Moody's Investors Service also lowered rating of 28 Spanish banks today, after cutting the rating of 15 leading banks. This signals that the spill-over effects could reach Thailand sooner or later, he said.
"It looks more certain that the calamity may soon hit Thailand. As such, all ministers must attend the meeting for close consulting," Anusorn said.
