US tops overseas destinations for Thai travellers

The destinations are among the top 10 in 2012 that Thai travellers research when they plan their leisure or business trips, said tripAdvisor - a leading global travel site.
"It is also worth noting that four ASEAN countries made it to the list, clearly showing Thai travellers’ preference to visit countries where no visas are required, with shorter flight times," it added.
TripAdvisor came up with the following lists, observing the number of sessions based on Thai IP addresses on th.tripadvisor.com between Jan 1-July 2012. Managing and operating websites under 19 other travel media brands, TripAdvisor attract more than 74 million unique monthly visitors.

Domestically, residents of Thailand love to travel to the beach, and underlined the attraction of popular seaside destinations such as Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi, Cha-am and Koh Samui.
