Worawit tipped as next chief of Government Savings Bank

The board of directors of the Government Savings Bank has nominated Worawit Chalimpamontri as the bank’s new president, a source at the GSB said.
GSB chairman Pannee Sathavarodom said earlier that remuneration negotiations would follow the nomination, before the Cabinet’s endorsement of the board’s choice is sought. The entire recruitment process should be completed this month.
Worawit, currently president of the Government Housing Bank, would succeed Lersak Julates.
Worawit was among three candidates who presented their visions for the GSB to the board on Thursday. The others were GSB executive Thatchapol Kanchanakul and former Thai Asset Management Corporation executive Chaovarat Chaochavanil. – The Nation
