ItalThai-Lao Machine eyes role in south
Italthai-Lao Machine Solution Co, the sole importer, distributor and after-sales service provider for Volvo in Laos, now plans to expand in that country's southern provinces after Italthai entered Laos last year.
From its headquarters in Vientiane, it currently operates permanent service departments in Sayaboury province, northwest of the capital.
Italthai Engineering Co, a business development and business management services provider, registered the subsidiary in Laos in the middle of last year with authorised capital of Bt30 million.
Italthai-Lao boasts a new office building and full maintenance facility including six repair bays, an 80-square-metre cleaning room for machinery overhaul and a 200sqm warehouse. It stocks more than Bt4 million in parts to meet the plans and needs of customers.
General manager Chalit Padungcheep said yesterday that the main types of equipment the company would be dealing with were excavators, wheel loaders, compactors and articulated haulers.
